The Wisdom of Lenny Kravitz

You know the kind. The ones that are ever-running on your afternoon television sets. The kind that go by the name of "The Price Is Right" or "Let's Make A Deal." The kind that you don't think are really real because no one you know has ever gone to a live taping.

Well, I think that Lenny Kravitz (or the music video director) was definitely on the same wavelength as me when he (or she, if the director was a girl) came up with the conception of Lenny Kravitz's "Stand" video.

Actually, I think everybody's thought of this. It's a natural tendency to suspect cheating, isn't it? Does it make you look at Bob Barker differently? (After watching "Happy Gilmore," I think everyone sees Bob Barker a little differently.) But maybe behind that all-too white smile? Hmmmmm... There may be something going on there.

Only time will tell, Bob. Only time will tell.

Anyway, I like the song and the video is ingenious, especially because Kravitz plays the show host, the lead singer, AND the drummer.

'Til next time.
